Continuing Education & Learning Management Systems survey—the ninth in the Marketing to Engineers® series—was designed to target the average engineer in order learn about how they find, use, and value continuing education resources. Specific topics for this installment include the importance of continuing education, how often engineers take advantage of continuing education, and valuable features of a supplier’s lunch and learn.

According to the study: Engineers most often host, attend, or participate in supplier lunch and learns quarterly (61%) or monthly (27%).

How Engineers Operate within the Purchasing & Specification Centers at their Companies—the tenth in the Marketing to Engineers® series focused on: 

  • What role does an engineer play when operating within the purchase/spec center at their organization?
  • What can suppliers do to streamline the purchase/specification process?
  • What supporting content and what content characteristics are the most valuable to an engineer when operating within a purchase/spec center?

According to the study: In terms of supporting materials, the top things suppliers can provide to help streamline the purchase/specification process are: Product spec. information (84%), technical articles (68%), case study/application (52%), and white paper, how-to’s (50%).
