About the Speaker and Company
Rebecca Geier is CEO and Co-Founder of TREW Marketing based in Austin, Texas. She has over 20 years of global marketing experience primarily in the B2B science, engineering and technology fields. Rebecca leads the TREW team in building strategic, thoughtful, and sustainable marketing plans for companies and their products, services and campaigns. With her long history in PR and communications, her specific area of specialty is in defining the authentic, differentiated position and core messaging that serve as the building blocks of a company’s go-to-market strategy. She and the TREW Crew are passionate believers in taking a smart, integrated marketing approach to effectively compel technical audiences to take action. And no marketing plan is complete without clear, measurable objectives and a mechanism to report and tweak along the way.
Prior to co-founding TREW Marketing, Rebecca was the Director of Corporate Communications and Investor Relations at Austin-based National Instruments, where she worked for 14 years. With nearly two decades working in scientific and engineering industries, Rebecca is known for her technical understanding of complex topics and passionate appreciation for the impact of scientists, engineers, and technologists on society. Rebecca is an active member of the Austin community and served as a robotics coach for over 10 years in her children’s schools. Rebecca and TREW co-founder Wendy Covey were named by the Wall Street Journal as one of the Ten Most Innovative Entrepreneurs in America, and TREW Marketing has been named as a Top B2B Agency multiple years. Rebecca graduated magna cum laude from Boston College and studied at Université de Grenoble in France. She has written and co-authored many blog posts, articles, and e-books, including TREW’s popular Smart Marketing for Engineers series Building the Foundation, Product Launches and the upcoming Create Marketing Engineers Love due in Q1 2014.
