CHARLEY THORNTON is a passionate storyteller and musician who is fascinated by what people hear (or don’t hear) and what moves them to action (or inaction). He teaches leaders – both corporate and military – to communicate more effectively so their words inspire people to get things done.
In 2006, he helped start The BRIEF Lab where he consults and teaches workshops for leading organizations including, Microsoft, the Navy SEALs, MasterCard, the US Special Operations Command (USASOC), WW Grainger, and Jones Lang LaSalle, among others. He has interviewed and advised hundreds of executives in the last decade and has lectured on effective professional communications at Northwestern University and The University of Notre Dame.
He is a proud Evans Scholar Alum from Northwestern University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Drama. Charley is a prolific songwriter, a performing musician, a lover of the outdoors and – most importantly – an extremely fortunate husband and father.
